We’re excited to invite all young people in Northstowe to our End of Term BBQ and Youth Hive AGM on Wednesday 16 July, as part of the regular Wednesday Drop-In.

What’s happening?

  • ⏰ Youth Drop-In opens as normal at 4:00 pm and runs until 5:30 pm
  • 🍔 BBQ from ~4:30 pm in The Cabin Garden (Assembly Rooms as wet weather backup)
  • 🗓 AGM at 4:45 pm — a short, friendly meeting where we’ll vote on trustees and share updates on this year’s projects
  • 💬 Informal chats about what young people want to see next year, including our new youth-led graffiti project: Our Space: Our Voice

We’ve just picked up our freshly made burgers from Rose Gate Farm — just beef, salt, and pepper — along with some brilliant local sausages. Rose Gate Farm is just down the road in Swavesey, meaning one of our young people could wave at the pigs as we picked up the supplies from David, the butcher and farmer.  All the meat has now gone safely into the freezer, ready for a special celebration on Wednesday.

Thanks to generous funding from Capital & Centric Ltd, we’ll be serving locally sourced food from Rose Gate Farm, as well as vegetarian and free-from options, so there’s something for everyone.

Young people can register on the day (as usual with Romsey Mill), and invited adult guests and other Youth Hive Members will join us wearing visitor lanyards. We’re looking forward to good food, laughter, and big conversations about the future.

A huge thank you to all our partners, funders, volunteers, and young people who make these events possible. We can’t wait to celebrate together and set the stage for an even more creative and community-driven year ahead!
