About The Lakes
Northstowe has three lakes – two of them can be enjoyed on foot or by bike, pushchair or wheelchair. They are also ideal for dog walking, having a picnic or just being in nature. The lakes are located next to the guided busway. Two of them are encircled by level paths so you can take a circular route around them on foot, by bike or using a wheelchair or pushchair. If you enjoy bird-watching, bring your binoculars. You can find out about what each of the lakes is called and why on this link.
There are picnic tables, benches and bridges.
If arriving by car, you can park for free at Longstanton Park & Ride and walk through to the lakes from there. You can also arrive on the guided busway (getting off at Longstanton Park & Ride) or by bike (there are lots of bike racks at Longstanton Park & Ride).
There are public toilets at Longstanton Park & Ride.
Fishing, swimming, horse-riding and motor vehicles are not permitted.
